Public Skeptical About Wall Street Bailout

The country is divided on more than just the election. A Washington Post-ABC News poll released yesterday reports that the American public is "evenly divided on the recent steps taken by the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department to rescue the financial services industry -- 44% approve, 42% disapprove. Skepticism cuts across party lines: "Approval is under 50 percent among Republicans (49%), independents (46%) and Democrats (42%)."
